Recently, a new bridge has been installed over the Emscher to the Emscherinsel in Essen-Karnap (Germany). And not just any bridge: besides being a bicycle and pedestrian bridge, it is also a pipe bridge. A handy combi-bridge! Wagenborg Nedlift's bridge specialists came on site for the installation.
In Germany, they are known as 'Expressbrücke': bridges that can be put in place or exchanged within a short time by means of an accelerated construction method or with pre-assembled bridge sections. A godsend, because it shortens traffic jams and disruption as much as possible. This is good news for the business community and residents of a country where some 4,000 (!) bridges will need to be replaced in the next ten years.
What a festive day it was for the Wagenborg Nedlift team yesterday! On this beautiful spring day, the new flagship in the crane fleet, the LTM 1650-8.1, was officially handed over at our site in Hengelo.
The largest and busiest motorway intersection in the North Netherlands is the Julianaplein in the city of Groningen. Two motorways, the A7 and A28, intersect here currently controlled by traffic lights. This situation leads to considerable congestion around the city. For this reason, Julianaplein is being completely converted into a new grade-separated traffic interchange.
We are proud of our recent certification for step 3 of the Safety Culture Ladder in the working area: “The execution of horizontal, vertical and special transport with associated assembly, engineering and project management”
No one could have predicted that the past year would be so turbulent. Stable factors have been disturbed, which has led to much uncertainty. At Wagenborg Nedlift, we are not daunted by this. We continue to build on our expertise and capabilities, together with our employees, customers and partners. On the eve of 2022, we look back.
December is festive season and the same goes for Wagenborg Nedlift! No fewer than three new Liebherr cranes arrived at the yards in Groningen and Hengelo (in the Netherlands) and Hörstel (in Germany).
Wagenborg Nedlift has recently expanded its road plates range with a new composite variant. These ISOTRACK X road plates are produced from high-quality thermoplastic material, making them exceptionally strong, durable and lightweight. They can also be linked together with a handy connector pin system, thus creating a continuous, non-slip surface with a high load-bearing capacity. Moreover, these composite road plates perform better than conventional ones when it comes to pressure distribution.
