In action at the Contact Sulphuric Acid plant in Geleen
Wagenborg Nedlift has installed a new system at the Contact Sulphuric Acid Plant at the Chemelot location in Geleen, which will soon start its production of sulphuric acid. An excellent opportunity for Wagenborg Nedlift to offer a full-service package to our customer, consisting of engineering services, lifting operations, sledging/jacking and rigging work.
As many as 5 large items have been installed, one of which directly on the foundation using a 500-tonne mobile crane. The other items were lifted into the hall through a 'lifting hole' specially made for this project and placed on the `skidding system, after which the items were manoeuvred in the right direction and placed on the foundation using jacks.
The entire project was executed to full satisfaction, meticulously and within the specified time and margin. Rigging of the installation will take another few months: it is expected to be operational in June 2020.
