Unknown makes unloved
“You don’t think we would give this important logistics contract to a company that is relatively unknown in the market, do you?!” These were the words that began a discussion about the biggest transformer project of a major transformer manufacturing company, about ten years ago. Now, the same person states: “if I knew back in 2006 what I know now about your company, Wagenborg would definitely have got the contract!”

In the North Western part of Europe, large investments are done in order to set up and improve the power network. Reason for this is the increasing power demand in these countries and the new built renewable power production capacity (mainly offshore wind at the German and Scandinavian coast).
The investments in new power cables and network substations often involve transport and positioning of heavy and oversized cargo, such as transformers.
