Winner of the ESTA Award in the SPMT 2025 category
At this year's annual ESTA Awards ceremony, we won an award in the SPMT category. We won with a smart rail bridge solution in Wesel. A fantastic reward for all our work. Christian Kröppel accepted the award on behalf of the team.
Smart railway bridge solution in Wesel
This ESTA award is a fantastic reward for all our work. For this project, two existing railway viaducts over the River Lippe in Wesel on the Emmerich-Oberhausen railway line were replaced and an additional connection was constructed. Our bridge team installed the 156-metre-long, 1,080-tonne bridge using an ingenious combination of four SPMT sets. What made this project so special? The River Lippe is inaccessible and too shallow for heavy pontoons, so it was not possible to float the railway bridge into place. How did we tackle the project? Read more about it here.
Winning an ESTA award is a wonderful recognition for all our employees. Time and again, our colleagues come up with smart and unique specialised solutions for complex lifting and transport challenges.
ESTA Europe is the European trade association for the heavy haulage, lifting and crane hire sector. ESTA represents the national trade associations in the field. Every year, ESTA Awards are presented for projects that stand out in terms of technical ingenuity, innovation or safety. This year, the awards ceremony took place in Munich.
