Two ESTA Awards for Wagenborg
What an evening! During the ESTA Awards on 16 April, Wagenborg won two Awards.
A fantastic recognition of the complex and technically challenging projects we proudly work on every day. This award is for all our colleagues whose craftsmanship, dedication, and teamwork make the difference every single day. Together, we achieved this result.
Transformers on the Move
The transport of six 312-ton transformers from Veendam to Ter Apelkanaal was not only a logistical masterpiece, but also an exercise in listening, explaining, and coordinating. It was about technical precision, but above all about the human touch.
“You are talking about an operation in which literally everything has to fit together,” says project manager Bert Maathuis. “From the strength of the bridges to the turning radius and the time slots in which we were allowed to drive. No road here was built for this kind of weight. That means you have to be creative and double-check everything.”
The technical precision of the transport, but above all the human precision with which it was carried out, ensured that this project made front-page news nationwide.
The Weser Bridge – Stolzenau
The successful installation of the Weser Bridge near Stolzenau.
Wagenborg Nedlift was involved in this project, in which a 130-metre-long bridge – replacing the original structure from 1949 – was positioned with centimetre precision.
