Construction has officially begun
With the raising of the flags as a festive finale, construction of our new site in Sappemeer officially began on 21 May. Together with Goossen te Pas and our other partners, we thus kicked off an exciting new phase.
Speeches and the first ceremonial act
In fine weather, Managing Director Jos Megens kicked off the event with an inspiring speech, followed by an address from CEO Egbert Vuursteen, after which the first ceremonial act took place.
Ground-breaking ceremony
Everyone then picked up a spade together as a symbol of cooperation, connection and shared ambition. This new location marks a significant step forward for Royal Wagenborg. In about a year’s time, we will be moving from our premises on Gideonweg in Groningen to a future-proof home base in Sappemeer, ready for the next stage in our growth. Together, we are building our next chapter.
