Winner of ESTA Award 2024 SPMT category

Wagenborg Nedlift wins ESTA Award 2024 in the SPMT category! At this year's annual ESTA Awards ceremony, we won an award in the SPMT category for the transport of 2 huge bullets in Geleen! Time and time again, our employees come up with special, tailor-made solutions for challenging lifting and transport jobs. We are very proud of this token of appreciation, which puts our skilled colleagues in the spotlight! Project Manager Arjan Bossers accepted the award on behalf of the team.

Transport of 2 huge bullets

This ESTA award crowns a project of enormous proportions. In the truest sense of the word, as two huge steel storage tanks (bullets) were transported through the Limburg village of Urmond to the Chemelot site in Geleen. The giants were 53 metres long, 8 metres wide, 8.5 metres high and weighed 460 tonnes each.

The transport experts at Wagenborg Nedlift managed to transport the bullets from the quay in Urmond to the Chemelot industrial complex in Geleen on a dolly combination of 2 x 20 axle line SPMTs. A distance of only 3 kilometres, but right across the A2, the busiest motorway in the Netherlands.
